In the August 2007 edition of Family Circle Magazine, Kennesaw was named one of the top ten best towns in America for families. This was a huge accomplishment and honor to receive. Kennesaw, Georgia is a suburb about 20 minutes North of Atlanta. Kennesaw caught the eye of the magazine editors when they discovered the convenient location, award winning schools, affordable housing, and a local job industry. Many families have taken note of this and recently purchased homes in the area to enjoy the lifestyle that Kennesaw has to offer. Kennesaw homes for sale have been in high demand over the last few years. Shops, dining, restaurants, and office buildings can all be found in Kennesaw. Town Centre Mall at Cobb is the area's shopping mall which is surrounded by renowned restaurants and a variety of shops. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield has become one of the main attractions for the area. It was once the site of the civil war and is now used as a park. The rich history can still be enjoyed through tours and reenactments. Also located in Kennesaw is the 4-year Kennesaw State University which was founded in 1963.
